Artificial Intelligence to replace teachers in UK school course
Sky news is reporting on a school in the United Kingdom where there will be no teachers for one of their courses, but instead learners will instead learn using a combination of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
The reasoning is that an AI can pay far more attention to each individual learner and eliminate gaps in the learner’s understanding, so the quality of the education is supposed to be better. At roughly R630,000 per student per year 😮, one would hope so!
I’m a bit skeptical myself that the quality will be better, so it will be interesting to see what happens with this course in future!
